  i do not see such as parameter @from in sp_send_dbmail.  We utilized this parameter so much based on our user accounts.  I know we can use the profile name parameter within sp_send_dbmail but still it requires to setup all of that user accounts (1000 plus) in order to use sp_send_dbmail.

  By the way, it does not work if user is not a sa or dbo.  Tried to grant exec permission on that SP for public but it does not work either.  Am I missing something.
