Hi,
I have two servers running SQL Server 2005 standard edition (SP2). We currently mirror databases from Server A to Server B.
I am intending to upgrade these environments to SP3 but I am unsure whether they should be upgraded in a particular order.
I.e. Should Server A containing the principal databases be upgraded first followed via the mirror server.
Or should it be done the other way around.
I have checked the release notes for SP3 but can't find anything regarding this so any help is much appreciated.

SQL Server 2005 does not have to be performing a particular server role in a database mirroring session when you apply a service pack or a hotfix. For example, SQL Server 2005 may be performing the principal role or the mirror role. However, we recommend that you update partner servers when they are running in the mirror role, and then update the witness server.
