does anyone have any hard and fast space figures for space requirements on the system drive when installing 2005 SP3?
I am upgrading database engine, RS, AS and IS and have just over 700mb free on a rather small C drive.
also, does the upgrade check space is enough beforehand or does it fail when space runs out and possibly leave a mes requiring backout (uninstall\reinstall)

if it helps anyone...................
figures I got installing SQL to a drive other than OS drive (E drive in this case). Note the OS drive will always still be used wherever you install SQL to. I was installing everything except notification services, BOL and sample databases. SO I installed DBengine, SSRS,SSAS and SSIS.
Base install.
1.09Gb used on OS drive
262MB on E drive
SP3 install
extra 1.05GB on OS drive
E drive unchanged.
You also require 325MB for the SP3 install .exe, but this can be run from any drive, including an off server network drive. This file is temporary as you delete it post install.
So for a server running SQL 2005 15GB should be the bare minimum for the OS drive, 25GB plus preferred.
