I have a single server with 3 instances of SQL 2005 installed on it. I want to apply SP3 to one instance. I believe the install detects all instances and allows you to apply the SP to any or all selected instances. Can anyone confirm or refute this? I've scoured the WWW and found no answers.
Thanks,
Bert

Yes, you are given the option to select which instances will be upgraded.

Also, You can run the installer anytime, to see what options are offered and then, at the last step you cancel the update, this way you can see what you can do without install anything.
