Any one use source control system for queries and stored procedures?
If so what is the source control system you use?
And can they be also used for reporting service reports, or SSIS packages?
Thanks

By linking database to Source control system, will that affect performance of sql server?
Never used source control sytem before, should the tool only be used on development server but not production server?
Thanks

I've put just about everything except the server configuration itself into source control. Yes, you can do this will all projecs and objects. Visual Studio works really well with Team Foundation Server (TFS). I've also used SVN with Red Gate SQL Source Control to check in database ojects. Also did that with TFS. There's a whole section of the Team Development[/url] book on using Source Control.
