Hi
I am getting lots of sos_scheduler_yield last weight types showing on runnable procesess, I am not sure why this is happening there are 47 cores all seem to be doing stuff and CPU usage rarely get s above 30%.
I thought you could get this with high CPU? Any ideas how to find out what is causing this?
Many thanks

Edward - Please read through this blog post, check some of the other counters mentioned and provide feedback at that point.

Answer to my own question
after much hunting around NUMA(hardware only) was suspected. Saw a poor and very high distribution between the nodes on perf counters buffer nodes\Foreign pages.
Added -T8015 which disables hardware NUMA and performance improved drastically and SOS wait types became insignificant.
werid!
