Hello,
I've installed SQL Server 2016 (with SP1) onto several servers recently with minimal issues. However, this install on a particular server is consistently failing.
"Updating permission setting for folder K:\System Volume Information\WPSettings.dat' failed. The folder permission setting were supposed to be set to [...]"
We've been installing new SQL Server instances and setting the log file to use a separate K: directory that we've created on each server. For some reason, this one server keeps giving us issues. We've tried rebooting and reformatting the new K drive, but we keep seeing the same results.
I do notice that I can access the K: drive in file explorer prior to the install attempt, but after it fails, the drive is no longer accessible to me in file explorer.
I would greatly appreciate any pointers on how to solve this!
