Hello all,
I am trying to setup snapshot replication and I get an error message:
"syntax error or access violation"
Do anyone have any thoughts?

need just a little more info to get help from the group.
version? os? service packs? dedicated distributor? trans/snap/merge/peer? what are you doing to get this error? is error on snapshot/distribution/logreader agent?

We are running SQL2000 on Windows 2003 server platforms. All versions of SQL2000 have SP3 installed. All accounts have the correct permissions and are accessing the Database daily.

Snapshot Agent must have full control access to the replication folder (by default: ...\Program Files\Microsoft Sql Server\ReplData), and the Distribution Agents and the Merge Agents must have read access. This is valid for all types of replication.
So, ensure the access of the subscriber to your replication folder. (share the folder)
