We have transactional pull replication running on SQL2000 SQL Servers and the following comment value shows up in the MSsnapshot_history table with a RunStatus = 5 (retry) mode for a Publication, right-pointing arrow showing on the gui. It appears that someone tried to start a new snapshot, while replication was running causing this problem. Current replication is running just fine, but we can't access the publications back on the publisher because this is in retry mode.
Does anyone have experience in changing the runstatus in the Msnapshot_history table from 5, retry, to some other value maybe 6, failed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA

Is the snapshot agent job running?
If not, start it manually to change the status.

No it is not currently running. I would like to be able to start it again, but it will not let us do anything. That was the reason for asking about the system table value instead.....
TIA
