Snack Attack

  • Bananas. I recommend them! They are sweet, but not very caloric (as long as you eat just one). They have satiating power because they contain fibre. Also, they contain sugars and salts that help balance your isotonicity, and other nutrients good for the brain, as phosphorus. And, normally, one of them is enough and leaves you OK. On the contrary, potato chips, chocolates, et cetera, always leave you craving for some more. Besides, bananas fit almost any diet, religious custom... they're perfect! 😉

  • Sorry, one banana is never enough!

There is no problem so great that it can not be solved by caffeine and chocolate.
  • A Lion Bar and a Coke on a Friday afternoon ends my week quite nicely!!

  • A handful of peanuts.

  • Fruit Bowl (Mix of all Fruits), best and fresh food available in canteen.

  • You'd love my place of work steve. I can see a Dairy Queen from my desk! Favourite snack? Doughnuts, though they can make a real mess...

  • An assort of raisin and nuts. It's good for the brain, and good for the jogging training 😎

  • I like trail mix and bananas are good, but coffee is my go-to first choice. Technically it isn't a snack, but when I need something quick...it works for me! 😛

  • Trail Mix and Coffee is usually my go-to snack although I sometimes get a craving for Wasabi Peas or Wasabi Almonds

  • Depends where I am. In Western Europe I like a fishy snack - boquerones in vinegar and garlic, or smoked mackerel, or smoked trout. In India some rice steamed with jeera and strirred into tarka dall, or an onion uttapam, or some idli and chutney.

  • I am glad there's nothing nearby these days. I am trying to eat more fruit (apples/bananas) or even a salad with dried fruit on it when I'm hungry.

Also trying to cut down the diet soda, which is my bane here in the US.

  • Dried fruits and wasabi peas.

  • We have bacon virtually on-tap here. From 7am to 2pm the smell of bacon can be irresistable.

We even refer to the canteen as 'the lard counter'.

And I'm rather fond of Beef flavoured hula hoops.

But when I'm not punishing my body with that, I'm punishing my taste buds with raw cauliflower olives and spinnach in a vain attempt to offset the damage.
