Smaller backup files

    I applied sp2 (SQLServer 2000) recently and just noticed that my db backups are smaller. Has anyone else noticed this? Or has about 25% of my data been deleted?!

    I have not noticed this but there are some changes in the way 2000 does the backups that may compress a bit. However if you are saving to file you still might want to use a zip utility to compress usually to about 25%- it's original size.
