Slow Connections to SQL 2000

Recently we are experiencing slow connections to SQL. SOmetimes they are really quick and sometimes there is a 4-5 second delay. This happening within our applications and has even happened using QA. Any hints on where to begin, did not have this probalem a few months ago.

Has ur network become slower ? Are there any heavy duty processes running on your db server.

Check if there have been any changes in the past few months with respect to application,network or the db server. They will give you the best start for this.
