slipstreaming prior to SQL Server SP1

    I create envrionments for sql server 2005 and SQL server 2008 on a regular basis.

    Although slipstreaming came in for sql 2008 SP1, i want to know how do i "slipstream" (or whatever it was called) sql server 2005 and sql server 2008 prior to SP1?

    Ive heard mention of a "chained install" but i can find little on the web about it.

    Has anyone any experience with installing SQL Server 2005 with a service pack, all in one install?

    The first SQL Server install I succesfully slipstreamed was SQL Server 2008 with SP1. I've never been succesfull with installs prior to 2008 + SP1 and as you say there is not much out there on the web.
