Not to be a downer... but the material for those courses is copyrighted, just like training kit books and other publications.
Thanks for the advise Gail, duly noted. Guess I'll just have to stick with the paper copies of the training files rather than my scanned ones, shame really as it enabled me to refer to them and my training notes when I wasn't in the office but copyright is copyright I guess!! 🙂 Do you know if MS do the course notes in electronic format at all?

Dunno about the law where you are, but there's often a difference between taking a copy for personal use (backup) and distributing copyright material to someone else. It was the second I was referring to (the 'I'll send you a copy')

I think I should err on the side of caution as reading the preface in the training material states (and I paraphrase): No part of the doc can be reproduced or stored in a retrieval system!! Oh well not to worry, sometimes copyright helps other times it hinders. 🙂 Best get on with the rest of my studying for Fridays exam - onwards and upwards!!

Congrats to you also, the MCITP was my primary goal ever since I became a DBA back in Jan last year and after failing it the first time round I was determined to pass this time.
I'd definitely recommend to anyone studying for 70-450 to set up a dedicated SQL Server test environment with at least 2 servers that will allow you to play around and actually practice setting up things like replication, mirroring, log shipping, distributed transactions etc. A theoretical knowledge is all well and good but nothing is as good as a solid working knowledge of those technologies and the various situations to which they apply (plus you can re-use the testing environment for future projects afterwards).
Next exam for me will be 70-433 (SQL 2008 DB Development) - best get studying again I guess!! 😀
