Hi SiteOwners,
I've just noticed that your site navigation menu is not working with Opera 7.1. Can this be? My Opera identifies as IE 6.0, but that doesn't matter.
I guess the menu is some kind of DHTML or JavaScript?
This isn't really important, just to let you know.
Cheers,
Frank

Thanks for the note. We'll add to a long list!

We tend to work with IE mostly because we all use it, it's the largest audience, not likely to have too many non-Windows users.
That being said, I use Mozilla (1.3) and there are a few errors there. I'll try to take a look at Opera.

I think you should consider a complete redesign of the navigation menu or maybe even the whole site (but don't you dare touch that logo!). That would spice things up! And for God's sake move on to asp.NET! The site and especially the forums could be running up to 80% faster

Redesign is in the works, but it's time consuming, plus we've added so many little features around Snitz that a bunch of stuff is breaking when we move.
Actually poor coding on our part, but that's what happens when you do this in your spare time and it grows rather rapidly. ASP.NET is cool, would speed things up, but it's a big step for us. We're considering it, but honestly it appears that often the slowness is bandwidth. We average nearly 1Mbps, so we're throwing stuff out there.

Hi Steve,

Yet there are some . As I've wrote, it isn't really important or should have a high priority.
I started designing my sites on Windows and IIS, and now I've moved to Linux and Apache. And although I thought I'd only have to rewrite the pages in php, they look totally different when viewed via other browsers than IExplore. But I agree that most user are focused on IE. And for me it's ok focus development on this audience. My Internet PC runs both worlds

Another funny thing, I've just noticed.
While sitting at home, using a 56k Modem and Opera, I didn't really noticed a huge difference to my office box with IE5.5 and 2MBit? or more connection to the net.
Cheers,

I agree with Steve, we'd like and are working on some changes, but with a limited of time to apply, we have to pick and choose. Part of it too is that we needed to grow long enough to really see what we needed, then we can really know what to build for v2.
