Hi gurus,
I am puzled with this?? It seems simple.
I want to backup my database to the different pc. I have administrator rights on that pc. I have maped that pc to my pc. When I go to select the folders it shows the drive. but when I select the drive it doesn't show me the folders. If i type the folder name manually it gives me an error saying
The Directory in Which you want to Create this file does not exist. You must specify Different Directory.
Bit urgent

Yes at times I have also got similar problems. What you can do is that still mention the path of the drive and folder name manually and try taking a backup. It should be working fine. Also see that you have read/write righs on the remote pc.
Let me know of your progress.

Nice to s a person in a same boat
What u have to do is , Ensure the MSSQLServer & SQLAGent services account has required privilege on that pc, and rather than using from enterprise manager you can continue the process using BACKUP statement and mention the required path.

Yes. You can use the use backup database command in QA. But if you need to schedule it for future use, you can schedule a job rather than everytime passing it manually.
