Hi,
We have a collection of Access databases that I would like to convert to SQL Server. does anyone know of a simple tool to make the front end. The only one i know off is Lightswitch, But i heard that silverlight isn't going to continued so guess Lightswitch wont be either?
We use Sharepoint so if theres a way to link into that it would be good.
Thanks for any advice.

Why not leave the front end in Access and just upscale the data into SQL, saves re-developing the front end.

Hey,
It was just proffered if it could be moved off to save on licensing and service desk having to install applications.. Instead link it to Sharepoint for authentication etc. I think you can put a lightswitch web page into Sharepoint(?) but i wasnt sure of the longevity of using it if it means we need to have silverlight installed just for 1 app (random thought does powerview use silverlight?)
Thanks
EDIT -just checked Yes PowerView is silverlight based..

Just watching the Tech Ed vids about Lightswitch (http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/TechEd/NorthAmerica/2012/DEV347). It looks like the new version will have the ability to create HTML pages as well as silverlight.
looks very cool...

You could create some simple CRUD web forms quite quickly using one of the RAD tools that are marketed - such as codecharge - http://www.yessoftware.com/products/product.php?product_id=1
