Hi All,
I backed up the log of a principal server and executed the command to shrink the file.
But it's not getting shrunk. I just searched in the forum and nothing worked for me.
I would like to shrink the file without pausing or removing the mirroring.
I feel that if I change recovery mode to Simple it might work. But I dont want to disrupt the mirroring.
Thanks in advance.

Until there are open/active transactions using the VLFs at the end of transaction log file, the shrink will not release the space.

Thanks for the quick response.
