shrink the datafile

    when we truncate the table which occuping space does shrink of the datafile is necessary to release the space on that file .

    Again are you going to insert data to that table?

    howmuch rows and size?

    Do you need the space badly?

    What if you do not shrink?

    please note that it is absolutely not recommended to shrink the data files as they will create fragmentation in your file and it will reduce the performance
