Shrink file

    Hello,

    My log is bigger than data file,the database is in simple mode and in production, how can I make it smaller and not to slow down for users to work.

    Why do you think it's slowing down the users?

    The log file is at this size because someone made it that big or because it grew there.

    So it's not something you should mess with.

    However since you seem to really have an issue here.

    Do you have very long or very old open transactions?

    Are you reindexing the system at the moment?
