Another example which took place mere minutes ago.
Supposed Application Tech Support Guy (SATSG for short): "Please let me know your availability tomorrow afternoon, I want to have the PLM war file to be deployed on both the OAS server."
Grumpy DBA: "I am available any time tomorrow afternoon, noon - 4:00pm."
SATSG: "Isn't it possible for later in the afternoon? 5:30pm?"
Grumpy DBA: "You asked for afternoon and I offered noon - 4:00. 5:30 is not possible today or tomorrow due to family commitments. I can be online later tonight, at 9:00."
SATSG: "PLM production is never brought down during the work hours for any patch implementation or the maintenance. I mentioned afternoon means any time after the production hours. I discussed it with application team and 9:00pm works for us if its Ok for you."
Grumpy DBA: "9:00pm tonight is good for me. I guess we have different definitions of "afternoon"..."
SATSG: "Ohh so, 5:30pm is not an afternoon for you!!!"
And they wonder why I'm grumpy...

I think for formal sites like these, yes use your full names, but if you are on any other site, rather use a nick.

One more thing, if you are using this to build your own brand, put it on your resume, you might want your full name.
