I just wanted somewhere to  moan about how utterly frustratingly BAD SharePoint Designer is.
Here are some of its unspecified features
Over 10 crashes per day
Numerous 'hangs' - where its just easier to kill the process than wait.
The simplest change can take minutes to save.
The simplest screen can take minutes to open.
Saving 'wait' icon goes away before the save completes - leading you to think you can click something else - don't be fooled it will just crash losing your data (again)
Will happily gobble up all the resources of the most highly specced Xenon Octa-Core EetSh1tKill 9000 PC
Utterly Utterly Utterly stupid piece of software
Apart from that - its fine!
... Well I had to get it off my chest somehow 😉 ...

Tom,
I haven't been lucky enough to commiserate with you, but you have my sympathies here. Please feel free to vent!

Tom, Please tell us how you really feel. 😉
Is SharePoint Designer the tool of "choice" if you aren't using Visual Studio? We don't have it here, but we do have Visual Studio Professional, so I am just curious.

Visual studio would be my tool of choice
However - we are not trusted to change anything on the server, and VS requires security settings in web.config - The powers that be - they say no. They not like the man from Del Monte! 🙁
The project finishes in June so its not for much longer 😛
