Sharepoint 2010 and SQL2008R2

  • Hi

I'm trying to setup a sharepoint2010 with SSRS2008r2 and SSAS2008r2 on a single box as a test/demo system for my BI manager.

    I've got a windows 2008 64-bit box version6.0 build 6002: service pack2 running as a vmware client.

I've installed Sharepoint2010 as a server farm without configuring it. Thats installed okay

I'm trying to install R2 powerpivot:

    setup.exe, installation>new installation.

    setup support >okay

    setup support files > install

    (operation passed 10) Next

    Specify a free edition> evaluation> Next

    Accept license terms > next

SQL Server Powerpivot for sharepoint > New Server> Next

    Next (all features auto-selected)

    Failed 3 Installation rules:

    Sharepoint .net framework supported check

    64-Bit operating system

sharepoint configuration requirement for new farm

    So apparently I've gone from a 64 bit windows 2008 sp2 system to a 32 bit one???

  • Ah I was using the x86 download and I should have been using the AMD I64 download even though I have intel processors
