Hi, Working on a SQL 2000 SP3 with Outlook 2000 SP1.
I've created an account in Outlook, named sqlmail. It can send and receive messages.
We don't have exchange(yet) but a pop 3 application called xtramail.
I chose properties on my instances and want to change the sql mail on the tab database settings to this account. I can only chose the 'Microsoft Outlook Internet Settings' account. Sqlmail is not in the dropdown box.
When I type it and press test, it passes. When I then click ok though I get a remark 'This MAPI profile was not found on the server. Do you wish to continue'.
How can I resolve this ?
Thx

Did you create the profile logged in to the server as the same user SQL Server runs under?

Thx for yr quick reply. I've created the profile as domain administrator. The sql server has also been started under this account.
