I'm trying to setup Database Mail in SQL Server 2012, but have come across a problem I don't know how to resolve. We've got a departmental email address, which I use for many of the SQL Jobs I've created and am migrating to this new instance of SQL 2012. At one point it asks for the server. We're now using Office 365 for our email. So, I have no idea at all what the server would be that I have to specify in Database Mail.
Help please.

Thank you, this does help, but I wonder about setting up an on-premise SMTP server? We didn't have to do that before, when we had SQL 2005 setup to deliver emails via Database Mail.
