Setting memory usage for databases

    Hello,

    We are using SQL server 2008 in window 2008 R2 (64BIT) sever. I have managed to cap the memory for SQL server using maximum Memory usage option. However, is there any way that we can specify the maximum usage of memory for each databases?

    Nope, you cannot set memory setting for Individual databases.

    However if you have a serious requirement to do that, you will have to install individual instances for those database or group of databases (as you can configure Memory at the instance level)..

    Having said that, that is not what I have seen anywhere..
