Can a user set default for values and types globally on his database? He doesn't have access to the system tables he is just a user of his database.

If you give the user db_ddladmin they can manager the defaults and types of database tables.

By giving db_ddladmin are there any security implications?
Thanks,

Definately, that means the user is able to issue all DDL statements (i.e. CREATE, ALTER, DROP for tables, views, procedures etc).

If they are db_ddladmin of their DB then there shouldn't be security implications on other DB's and the entire server, correct?
