We have a query which we are tuning but at the present it generates a LARGE amount of reads. When first run the logical reads were showing up but after a couple of tries the logical reads output has gone away and now reports 0 and oddly enough a couple of bogus worktables show up in the stats IO output.
Has anyone ever seen this and what is the cause / resolution? Seems pretty odd to me.

Thanks and I did think about trying that. Have you seen this before? Very curious.
