Good information.

I would have chosen "All of the above" if it wasn't for two contradictory options. π

I too was in a quandry trying to resolve the conflict of the last part of option 4. After losing a few hairs I choose poorly. I did however learn/was reminded of something so that is worth a point. Keep up the questions.

Interesting question -- thanks!

Good question and certainly a learning point for many people. For this reason alone the question was a good one.
It is unfortunate about the answers. I too was not sure which incorrect answer was the correct one. I chose the incorrect incorrect answer.

I propose to switch the answers #4 and #5. The answer All of above becomes correct in this order.

I don't understand how it can be 'all of the above' when answers 3 and 4 are in direct opposition.

According to this reference http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms191203.aspx, there are only 3 rules in hierarchy of options. I would like to know from where comes option no. 4?
Option no. 5 should have to be "Almost all of the above" π

That reference lists four levels: instance, database, batch, statement.
I like "Almost all of the above".

So do I.
I think that one should not assume that authors of QotDs will get everything definitely and absolutely right. They are humans, so there will be an occassional slip.
As I read it, "All of the above" was the most correct of the offered options, one good enough for a rainy Wednesday.

Another poorly worded question and answer set.

I was going to choose All of the Above but then re-read the answers and thought that "All" could not be right since there were 2 answers that were mutually exclusive. It is still a good question, although the point has been mostly lost due to poor answer choices.

The point is only lost if you focus more on the added answer than what the question was trying to get at. I got it wrong because I assumed at "all of the above" was a last minute add to get another option because it was impossible for all the other answers to be correct. However, my reasoning that the first three options were all right based on what I knew about the topic was right so I still got the point of the question.
I understand that the problematic option isn't one that the author initially put in but I'm wondering if this would have been better formatted as a multiple choice question. Check any of the answers that apply, leave out the last two options, and add a couple others so not all were selected (or not, nothing wrong with all being right).
