When using SET NOCOUNT ON in a parent sproc, is the setting pervasive into any sproc that it calls, or do I need to say SET NOCOUNT ON in all nested sprocs as well?
I suppose I should say that there's really no benefit in omitting SET NOCOUNT from the top of your procedures - unless you happen to have a nested procedure which requires SET NOCOUNT to be ON or OFF for different callers, I guess.
