Set Language??

  • I'm running Profiler on a box to get some baseline stats and saw something weird.  On a SQLStmtStarting event, I saw the command "SET LANGUAGE us_english".

Now, we only use English and, as far as I know, our OS and SQL Server were both only ever set up with English support.  So why does SQL Server need to reset the language to English?  Or am I missing something here?

Can someone please clarify what SQL Server 2000 thinks it's doing?  Thanks!
