I have a Server SQL 2K, SP3, IIS installed (to receive FTP files), Outlook configured which has a runaway Services.exe.
The process takes between 45 - 60% of CPU. I have ran virus checks - clean, checked technet, etc.. found nothing.
Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix it?? My support group has been unable to find a fix as of yet either.
Thank you for any help.

Services.exe is the services manager for the OS. The only KB article I've found (perhaps others will have better luck) is if it is started interactively.

Unfortunately, this is started automatically. I have found KB 328885 and some others. I have patched the server with a fix for the above KB (received from MS and looks to be part of SP4) no help.
I have found some articles RE: this and multi. NICS however have 5 other servers same config and no issue.
Thanks,
AJ
