Installing of SQL Server 2005 Service Pack 3 failed on environment below.
Server Environment:
O.S : Windows 2008 64 Bit Enterprise Edition
SQL Server: SQL Server 2005 64 Bit Enterprise Edition
Cluster: Yes, Active \ Passive cluster with 3 nodes, the remaining two nodes are already running on Service Pack 3.
Error logged on : C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix\SQL9_Hotfix_KB955706_sqlrun_sql.msp.log.
Following errors repeatedly occurred
MSI (s) (B0:A4) [08:38:44:879]: Note: 1: 2262 2: Error 3: -2147287038
MSI (s) (B0:A4) [08:38:44:879]: Transforming table Error.
Failed to find installation media path due to datastore exception
in FindSetupFolder()
MSI (s) (B0:A4) [08:38:44:879]: Product: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (64-bit) -- Configuration failed.
On end, I got the dialog box with message.,
Unexpected Error Occurred : The following unexpected Error occured
I have successfully applied the Service Pack 3 on client tools and all other cluster unaware tools.
Only the SQL Server 2005 Database Engine failed on SP3 installation.
Any help on resolving will be much appreciated.

Did you login into the box as Domain Admin? Are you installing hotfix from active node or from network folder? Was other nodes patched earlier or just before this?
If this is windows 2008 always run program rightclick and runs as administrator don't double click even though you logged in as administrator.

Let's start with user account being used. Make sure it has adequate permissions for the install files folder.
Next, where is the media you are using for the installation? Is the Media from a download or is in on DVD?
