Hi all,
I'm about to install SQL Server 2005 and I'm considering also installing Service Pack 1 as well. Has anyone had any problems after installing SP1? Any known issues with it?
Thanks a lot.

You'll probably find that SSIS won't start afterwards this is to do with the managed code trying to check certificates on the internet there are ways around this but I would also install the hotfixes supplied here
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=918222
But it is worthwhile installing.

Can you elaborate? Are you saying these problems exist after the hotfixes are applied or only if you don't apply them? What are the ways around this you mentioned?
Thanks,

Angela,
you can find more info about the SSIS problem here:http://blogs.conchango.com/jamiethomson/archive/2006/04/26/3870.aspx
and here http://blogs.conchango.com/jamiethomson/archive/2006/04/26/3877.aspx
but if you use the updated SP1 from the link David supplied you should be Ok.

If you apply SP1 and then the hotfixes from url I gave in the previous post you will have no issues with SSIS .
Its definetly worth applying them though.
P.S make sure you apply the hotfixes in the order specified.
