Hello All,
I have to upgrade my clients SQL server 2000 and SQL server 2005 to SQL server 2008 R2
please tell me, should i do this with upgrade wizard or i must uninstall SQL server 2000 and SQL server 2005 and then install SQL server 2008 ?
I want to retrieve all my login and SQL jobs ? how is this possible

You could use the upgrade assistant. I would look into doing a side by side upgrade so as to have a fallback option.

thanks for the post
upgrade assistance may help us in choosing right configuration for upgrade.
but i m more concerned with my current databases, logins and sql jobs.
if i upgrade to SQL server 2008 R2 , do i get all the stuff or i may have to reconfigure those things again ?
