Server side tracing and Performance Monitor

  • Hi Guys,

Any tips or articles on how to use Server side tracing with Performance Monitor the way we can use SQL profiler with Performance Monitor.

  • No difference at all. You run a server side trace output to a file, then you open the output file using Profiler. That's it. You can then open the perfmon counters as well and everything just works.

Totally missed out on opening the trc file in profiler.

    Thank you very much.
