Hi Gurus,
I have SQL Server 2005 client and am able to connected to SQL Server 2000 without any issues.My problem is that am getting error when connection through and an application installed on the client.The application is using .net frame work 2.0.The error is under default settings sql server doesnot allow remote connections.

First, have you checked the settings on your server and made sure it will allow remote connections?
Second, is the login being used set up correctly?

what type of authentication are you using on the server, please check the authentication type when you are connecting to sql server from the application
