I am administrator on the Windows server but can't log in to SQL Server. Is there any group I can assign myself to that will allow me to log into SQL Server as sysadmin? (I did not do the install but am the DBA.)
Thanks!

If you start SQL Server in single user mode, than any member of Local Administrators is a sysadmin and then you can connect (I'd suggest SQLCMD not SSMS) and add your normal windows login as a sysadmin.
