Hai
i have a Casurvey database in my server i want to create a duplicate database of same databe(Casurvey ) include tables stored procedures in same server
pls can any body tell me the process

Backup the original, and restore with a different name.

Let me get this... You want the same DB with the same name on the same instance?

I dont think im qualified to answer this question.....:w00t:

Unless there is some miracle wy that I dont know about, the answer is No, you cant have 2 db's with the same name on the same instance.

And how will you know which one you are accessing ? Magic ?

You have a few choices:

1) Database with the same name on a different instance or different server.

2) Database with a different name Casurvey_2 on the same server.

2) Database with a different name Casurvey_2 on a different instance or different server.
