  I want to send an email to lotus notes using xp_sendmail. For example, I want to send a notification from database administrator to some predesignated recepients in order to notify them that there is a job registered against them, please take appropriate action.

  yes its possible. sending mail to lotus notes is no different from sending mail to exchange/outlook
