Pretty much the same reason you upgrade FireFox, Google Chrome or any other application with "the latest" versions.
The provider determined that a number of changes or improvements are required,and are important enough to release to the owners of the application.
those improvements may or may not resolve any issues you are having, and could also potentially adversely affect your processes, .
Its up to you whether to install the updates, but generally, it's going to make the applicaiton better, right?

The user was able to connect to the server in the mixed mode but unable to connect in the windows authentication mode, what was the problem? And the user has system admin privilege.
