  I got the folowing error message "Error (Security error.) opening registry key reg:/AMRDS6101/HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE\Microsoft, skipping object. " while scanning sql server 2005 from the microsoft tool called "best practice analyzer." Do anybody know about the error.

  It's just what it says. You don't have rights to scan that registry subkey.
