Selecting parameter type varchar in query designer

  In Reporting Services 2005, I am building my dataset through query designer.

  I need to set a postcode parameter as varchar, but it does not give me the option

  of this datatype in the parameter properties page.

  Can anyone help?

  You should probably use STRING data type
