  This SQL Statement works on some databases I have on my server while on other id produces an error

  When I try to view records from Enterprise manager on the databases that have the problem I do not have the option to return top rows ...

  All database are with compatability level 7.0

  and are beeing run over SQL Server 7.0 on the same server

  I'd check the compatibility level one more time, no other reason for it not to work.
