  I understand that its bitwise operator. But what is the equavalent value for 0x1,0x2,0x3,0x4 ?

  0x prefixes a hexadecimal number.

  Use windows calculator - type in a number, press F5 to turn it into hex. Type in a hex number, press F6 to turn it into base 10 (decimal).
