secure sqlserver production box

    Hi,

    we are going to install a new sqlserver 2005 enterprise edition for production environment.

    please clarify these points

    1) production sql server need to install on local system or domain or active dir on win?

    2) how to restrict the unanimous users access to critical db's

    3) what are the security consideration need to take from installtion to creating logins, users , assigning roles etc...

    After reading your post i have impression that you are not a DBA. then my suggestion would be hire a professional , dont play with security section directly on production above of all your question is not specific to one point ,you need to know/understand complete IN or OUt of securites
