  • sqlserver instance and lighspeed installed in a server.

I need a script that will configure lightspeed for that instance.

  • we have so many new servers ,manual configuration is time taking , so we need a script .

  • Litespeed is a packaged installer which installs the binaries.

You then need to launch the Litespeed configuration wizard, you could check with Quest if there is a way to script this part but i'm not sure there is.

    Thanks.

Can you please provide the system tables\views which are related to lightspeed configuration entries.

There are no system tables - Litespeed installer will install the binaries on the server, setup and configure your data repository (if used) and loads the extended procedures onto the instance of SQL Server you are configuring.

Once that is done, you have many options for setting up maintenance plans. You can use the Litespeed console and setup Litespeed maintenance plans, or you can create a stored procedure and use the extended procedures to backup the databases, or you can setup and use the command line to backup your databases.

How you move forward with this is entirely up to you.

If you use Litespeed maintenance plans, then you need to follow up with Quest to see of those can be scripted. I don't use Litespeed maintenance plans myself - I use custom procedures that use the extended procedures, but - I think you can just script the agent job that is created from their maintenance plan and copy that to another server. Test that out and see if it works...
