I'm trying to schedule a complicated DTS which runs OK manually but won't run when scheduled. The error message I'm getting is:
Executed as user: WOODLAND02\woodadmin82. ... DTSStep_DTSExecutePackageTask_1 DTSRun OnProgress: DTSStep_DTSExecutePackageTask_1; Copy Data from tblWTAreas to [DTSStaging].[wt_datawriter].[tblWTAreasBackup] Step: 8 Rows have been transformed or copied.; PercentComplete = 0; ProgressCount = 8 DTSRun OnProgress: DTSStep_DTSExecutePackageTask_1; Copy Data from tblManagementUnitText to [DTSStaging].[wt_datawriter].[tblManagementUnitTextBackup] Step: 0 Rows have been transformed or copied.; PercentComplete = 0; ProgressCount = 0 DTSRun OnProgress: DTSStep_DTSExecutePackageTask_1; Copy Data from tblManagementUnits to [DTSStaging].[wt_datawriter].[tblManagementUnitsBackup] Step: 0 Rows have been transformed or copied.; PercentComplete = 0; ProgressCount = 0 DTSRun OnProgress: DTSStep_DTSExecutePackageTask_1; Copy Data from tblDesignations to [DTSStaging].[wt_datawriter].[tblDesignationsBackup] Step: 0 Rows have been transformed or copied.; PercentComplete = 0;... Process Exit Code 2. The step failed.
The user that runs the agent job has sysadmin rights so I don't think it is a permissions problem. Any ideas?

Hi,
I cant see what the problem is from the error log. Have you set the DTS package properties to create a log file. The package log file will give you a more detailed error message.
Also if you are running the package manually and you are importing for eg. a text file from your machines C drive , it will work. When you schedule the job the Server will search on the Servers C drive and thus fail.
Hope this helps a little...
Andy.
