SAN latency issue on tempDB

  I saw these SQL errors yesterday -

  LogWriter: Operating System Error 21 (Error Not Found)

  ...

  The log for database 'tempdb' is not available

  I believe they were caused by SAN latency being affected negatively by a large file copy that was taking place on the SAN at the time but I wondered if anyone has experienced these errors before and if so were they also SAN-related?

  Even I faced this issue and blogged about it here[/url]. It was again because of SAN/Storage issue.
