sa Login failed for SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 3

    I tried to install service park 3 on sql server 2000 and the setup will not continue as it keeps telling me that the sa password cannot be verified.

    When I use the same sa password to login to QA it works.

    Any ideas?

    Just resolved this issue by installing MDAC version 2.7 before installing the service pack  3a. Just in case anyone else get this problem.

    Thanks for the update. I've run into this before as well and there was a fix from MS.
